Stained Glass of the Sacrament of Baptism

We joyfully invite parents to register their children for Baptism from birth to kindergarten age.

Your child’s initiation into the Roman Catholic Church requires that you attend a preparation class, be registered in the parish, and prepare yourself for the continuing responsibility of raising your child as a Catholic. Class is normally held every other month on a Tuesday evening  from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

The prerequisites for Godparents are as follows:

  • They must be a Catholic who is actively practicing their faith.
  • They must be at least 16 years of age.
  • They must have received the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation.
  • If sponsor is married they must be married by a Catholic priest or deacon.
  • The sponsor may not be the parent of the candidate.

Family Baptism is for those children that are over the age of 6. Family baptism is a separate class that must be attended in conjunction with Religious Education class.

Please contact the Religious Education Office at (661) 948-3011 or stop by to pick up a form.
