City of Saints

City of Saints is a Catholic teen conference hosted by Archbishop Jose Gomez and the Youth Ministry Division in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. This event is a wonderful and local opportunity for young people to deepen their relationship with Jesus. The conference will feature dynamic speakers, liturgical experiences, music, and more, set in an atmosphere where teens can learn about and experience the Eucharist and the beauty of the Catholic faith with its rich symbols and traditions.

The theme “City of Saints” reminds us that we live in a city named after saints, not only Los Angeles, (named for Our Lady, of course) but also Santa Monica, San Pedro, San Fernando, Santa Barbara, etc. We remember that all teens are called to be saints in our cities. This conference will help these young people express this sainthood in their everyday lives.

National Catholic Youth Conference  (N.C.Y.C)

The National Catholic Youth Conference is a powerful, biennial, three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers (of high school age) and their adult chaperons.

The program includes keynote presentations, prayer, workshops, Mass, and opportunities to participate in reconciliation and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as recreational activities, concerts, and exhibits. A key component of NCYC is the thematic park which is a blend of traditional exhibit booths with interactive areas featuring service projects, games, recreation, live musical performances, arts, and sports.

Religious Education Youth Day

Youth Day is held annually on the Thursday of the Religious Education Congress weekend. It is a day just for youth from many different backgrounds from throughout the Archdiocese – and beyond – to participate in a Rally, Liturgy and Workshops focused just for them.

Christian Leadership Institute

Christian Leadership Institute (CLI) is a program that empowers young people to become leaders by preparing them to serve on their parish or campus ministry leadership teams.  It is an intense week of training during which participants learn new skills, put those skills into action, and explore what it means to live in community.  It requires a lot of work on the part of participants, yet it is fun and exciting.  While it is based in a Catholic context, CLI is not a retreat.

Signed Anointed to Witness

The goal of the S.A.W. retreat is to motivate and assist confirmed youth in sharing and living the Sacrament of Confirmation by: developing leadership and witnessing skills, deepening their faith and love for the Lord Jesus, helping youth grow as peer ministers.

St. John Seminary Youth Day

One day trip to St. John’s seminary in Camarillo to visit with the seminarians and understand more about the vocation to the priesthood and consecrated life.
