THE UPRIGHT SERVANT OF THOSE ENTRUSTED TO HIS CARE.
Did you know that St. Joseph never speaks in the Bible? Despite his silence throughout scripture, his actions resonated loudly. Without uttering a single word, St. Joseph teaches us the importance of serving with humility and love. His role as a provider and protector underscores the value of supporting those entrusted to our care— especially the vulnerable and marginalized—through our words and tangible acts of compassion.
LEADING BY ACTION
St. Joseph exemplified his role as "Guardian of the Redeemer" through actions that illustrated his commitment to God's plan. Upon discovering Mary's pregnancy with Jesus by the Holy Spirit, he made the courageous choice to shield her from shame and harm by taking her as his wife, a testament to his trust in God's guidance.
In the face of Herod's threat against the infant Jesus, Joseph obeyed the angel's warning and fled to Egypt. This ensures Mary's and the child's safety, ultimately raising Jesus as his son. This act of obedience showcases Joseph's surrender to God's providence, prioritizing the fulfillment of God's plan over personal comfort or convenience.
FOLLOW ST. JOSEPH’S EXAMPLE
Like St. Joseph, we are called to serve and support the marginalized. We are called to walk alongside those in need and support them on their journey to Jesus, just as St. Joseph journeyed with Our Lady to Bethlehem.
