We are taking as much precaution as we can while following the Archdiocese and State guidelines. Taking into consideration those guidelines given to us, we have deep cleaned and disinfected the areas that will be used by our fellow parishioners. As we get closer to the reopening of the Church, there may be additional guidelines that will be given as we go along.
All volunteers (i.e, Ministers of Hospitality, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, and Staff) will need to pay close attention to the following precautions:
1. All Volunteers will need to come with their own face masks and hand sanitizers. We will provide gloves for our volunteers and must be worn at all times.
2. Ministers of Hospitality will be asked to limit themselves from moving around the church at all times to protect them and others.
3. The only entrance that will be used will be the main Church doors. We will have a total of 2 securities and 4 ministers of hospitality in order for us to ensure the capacity as the parishioners are entering the Church. Ministers of hospitality will be directing the parishioners to exit by rows of pews via the south side doors. For precaution, parishioners must wait to be dismissed after Mass.
4. They will greet and open doors for all visitors in a kind and welcoming way while wearing gloves and face masks, even when answering questions and guiding the visitors. Signage and use of social media is being used for advising people experiencing symptoms or considered at higher risk to stay home, volunteers/employees at the doors will be reinforcing this message and remind visitors of the ongoing dispensation from the Sunday obligation to attend Mass. Visitors should wash/sanitize their hands and wear a face covering at all times.
5. Volunteers will be inviting each group to a particular part of the church, where they should remain (no roaming around the church), maintaining social distancing, seated and standing. (Seated in every other row, with six feet of separation except when two or more members of the same household sit adjacent to one another). The visitors may not choose where they sit. Markers have been placed on the ground to maintain social distance and guide visitors in and out of the building.
6. Volunteers will also ensure that pews and other points of contact are wiped down when visitors leave.
7. Communion is taken place at the very end of the Mass, when you come up to receive Communion, afterward you leave the Church.
8. Lines for Communion will be monitored so that communicants stand 6 feet apart and 6 feet distant from other participants in pews.
9. Collection baskets will be placed by the Presider and Eucharistic ministers in the front of the Altar; when come up to receive Communion, you may drop off the evelope into the baskets. Please minimize contact with one another as well as reminding them of being able to do online giving or contribution to the Church.
10. Bathrooms with washing stations will be available for usage and will be continuously cleaned and disinfected.
