Please, see this important message below from the ADLA Applied Technology Department.
With the increasing sophistication of cyber threats, including targeted ransomware attacks, social engineering, and data breaches, the Archdiocese recognizes that cybersecurity is not just a technology concern.
Effectively managing cybersecurity risks requires a comprehensive and continuous effort that includes technological defenses, and employee training.
As part of our ongoing security efforts, the Vicar for Clergy Office and the Applied Technology Department are making available to all clergy that administer a parish monthly cybersecurity awareness training, for free.
Cybersecurity awareness training will help you understand security threats, recognize social engineering scams, and equip you with the knowledge to help protect you from online attacks.
This training, from security vendor KnowBe4, uses engaging, interactive web-based training that you can complete on your computer or mobile device. These short training sessions will be delivered to your email inbox at the beginning of every month. You can complete the training modules at your own pace. You will receive an email with login instructions to the KnowBe4 user portal in the next few days.
Cybersecurity is not just another issue to be handled by information technology (IT) professionals. Cybersecurity is everyone’s responsibility.
If you have any questions or concerns about cybersecurity or IT policies, please email[email protected].
Thank you!
