Hello Reverend Tran,

As summer approaches and we enjoy a favorite pastime of boating and sailing on our treasured lakes and oceans, we also become aware of the different surfaces in our lives.

The First Disciples were fearless fishermen. They relinquished what they knew and chose to follow Jesus on land with uncertainty and change. They left one surface for another.

Similarly, our retired archdiocesan priests experience the same occurrence, not by newly following Jesus but by leaving what they know and facing the unknown. Retirement years can be difficult for our priests who have dedicated their entire lives, sometimes 50 years, to the care and ministry of others.

The Priest Retirement Fund 2023 "Forever A Holy Priesthood" Annual Appeal is a fund that supplements the essential needs of our retired priests in retirement. Food, housing, medical care, prescriptive care, and transportation are crucial for their livelihood and well-being, and your gifts assist in providing all of these.
