Dear Monsignor/Father: As you know, it has been almost four years since the Tribunal has held a Submitting Minister's Workshop in the Archdiocese. On Saturday, February 24, 2024, the Tribunal is going to offer another workshop both in English and Spanish at St. Dominic Parish (Eagle Rock), 2002 Merton
Ave. Los Angeles. CA 90041 from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM. As you can see in the enclosed documents, we have made some revisions in the Year 2020 to the Petition Forms for Formal Marriage Nullity Cases in English and Spanish, which we ask you to use now in your parish. If you have old forms in the parish file, please destroy them and use only these new forms. We will discuss the new forms in more detail during the workshop. We will also discuss special marriage cases including Testimonial Letters/Nihil Obstat, Permissions and Dispensations, Lack of Form, Dissolutions (Pauline and Favor of the Faith), Ligamens, Impediments, etc. Our goal is to help participants have a better understanding of these matters and hopefully better assist our parishioners in marriage preparations and marriage nullity
petitions. This workshop is open to Clergy, Religious, Seminarians, Parish Submitting Ministers (including
previous workshop participants), RCIA Directors and Marriage Coordinators. We understand that Pastors/Administrators have busy schedules, but please consider attending this workshop. You may also send your Associate, Deacon or any of your lay parishioners who are involved in the above-mentioned ministries. In this way, they can also assist you in ministering to parishioners who might be in need of annulments. Kindly read the enclosed brochure and
registration form.
Take note that for lay persons who are coming, the Pastor's/Administrator's recommendation is required. Also, the deadline for registration is Friday February 16, 2024 in order to give our staff enough time to prepare the materials needed for the workshop.
