UPDATE: To the ADLA Administrative Handbook, Regarding the Protocols for handling COVID-19 cases

You might have noticed that the number of COVID cases has increased over the summer. This is a reminder that the
Archdiocese is still required to comply with Cal OSHA regulations regarding reporting, isolation and masking. These
regulations have changed in the last few months.

 

• For individuals who develop symptoms of COVID-19, the infectious period begins 2 days before symptoms appear.
  The infectious period ends when at least 24 hours have passed since symptoms first appeared, and at least 24
  hours have passed with no fever (without use of fever-reducing medications), and symptoms are mild or have
  improved. 
• For individuals who test positive but never develop symptoms, there is no infectious period. 
• You may return to work after the infectious period has passed, but you are required to wear a mask for 10 days
  from the onset of symptoms or positive test date if you have no symptoms.
• If you have three or more cases at your location that are linked, you have an outbreak which you must report to
  your local health department.
• You are still required to fill out and submit the ADLA COVID Report Form for any COVID case at a worksite. The
  reports are still being monitored by the COVID Response Team.
• You are no longer required to give Notice of Potential Exposure to all employees at the worksite in the event of a
  COVID case. You must investigate each case and notify anyone who has been determined to be a close contact.
